Job Description

This position is responsible for engaging with business subject matter experts and process owners to understand business issues and elicit, analyze, and validate business requirements for automation projects that are medium in size and/or moderate in complexity. You will report to the Engineering Sr. Manager.

Position Compensation Range:

$67,000.00 - $111,000.00

Primary Accountabilities

  • You will participate with the business in the creation/completion of project charters for automation projects.

  • You will determine how to capture and document requirements based on the development methodology used for the business system.

  • You will develop the business requirements by translating the needs, expectations, constraints and interfaces into a format understandable to both clients and technologists.

  • You will develop requirements for solution and solution component design.

  • You will derives requirements that result from architectural/design decisions.

  • You will defines quality attributes, constraints and other non-functional requirements.

  • You will evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

  • You will analyzes requirements to determine whether they satisfy the objectives of higher level requirements.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Property and Casualty Insurance Market, focusing on Policy Center Insurance domain

  • 5+ years of experience with Guidewire Policy Center

  • Deep knowledge of Property Casualty Policy Coverages, Endorsements, and form rules

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of system architecture and system engineering processes and procedures.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of infrastructure technologies, operating systems, and the interconnectivity between infrastructure platforms and software tools.

  • You will have demonstrated experience analyzing and defining technical SDLC requirements for small to medium IT projects using a variety of graphical and textual techniques.

  • You will have demonstrated experience consulting on the development of test strategies and plans for small to medium IT projects.

  • You will have demonstrated experience using facilitation and interview techniques to elicit and document requirements.

  • You will have demonstrated experience with modeling techniques/tools used to convey and gain agreement regarding requirements.

  • Solid understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. (e.g. Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).

  • Solid knowledge of general business operations and objectives.

  • Communicate and or coordinate meetings with customers, team members, and or team members to ensure successful outcomes.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 5%.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110;
