Job Description

Summary:

Develop, implement, and coordinate various health education activities involved in programs.


Work Performed:

  • Coordinate and participate in educational and counseling activities to meet the projected needs for health-related programs.
  • Train in CPR, elementary first aid, and alcohol awareness. Provide organizational support for any projected health fairs or other health education activities.
  • Maintain liaison with professional staff and other personnel to promote program interest and involvement in instruction and participation.
  • Assist in the implementation of on-going evaluations of health education programs and activities. Provide individual consults on health education issues.
  • Assist in the design and preparation of health education materials and programs. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications


Education

Work requires a bachelor's degree in Public Health, Psychology, Nursing, Sociology or related health field.


Experience


Work requires three years of experience in community or industrial health related work. A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field may substitute for the required experience on a 1:1 basis, that is a two year Master's degree in lieu of two years of experience.
