ROGUE DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING, Inc., a Waste Connections company, is looking for a "Jack of all trades", Utility Personnel to join the team in White City, OR!

Schedule: Tues-Sat, 6:00am-2:30pm- Flexible Schedule 40-50 hours per week.

Pay Rate: $21/hr or DOE, Wage review after 90days, with regular wage increases after.

• Location: Rogue Disposal and Recycling Transfer Station, 8001 Table Rock Rd., White City, OR
• Employee status: Non-Union/Non-exempt
• Drug and alcohol testing: Subject to pre-employment drug testing and random selection drug and alcohol testing per Company policy.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Utility position is the first point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment. This position provides support to all departments as needed. This is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements.

• Yard and facility maintenance including debris and clean up.
• Picking up litter & sweeping windblown trash.
• Onsite general maintenance & upkeep.
• Assistance with tools & equipment.
• Assisting mechanics & other departments as needed.
• Learning the operations of the transfer station.
• Spotting Trucks.
• Various utility tasks as needed.
• Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.
• Experience operating equipment; Forklift, skid steer, excavator, or similar preferred
• Mechanical ability a plus.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
• Frequently walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb stairs and ladders.
• Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts which require following basic safety precautions.
• The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
