THE JOB:
The Social Media Specialist serves as an ambassador across all social media touch points, managing workflow, content calendars, publishing and engaging with guests, fans, and followers. This role requires a passion for fast moving content trends to foster engagement.
THE STARTING RATE: $22.15
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Create content and manage social media accounts with brand voice consistency; develop content calendars in accordance with set timelines and corporate guidelines.
Leverage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.) to build, nurture, and engage with the brand's online community
Monitor and analyze community conversations, sentiments, and feedback to gain insights into audience preferences, trends, and perceptions to provide regular updates to partners
Assist with monthly and campaign reporting by ensuring all content is tagged appropriately and provides highest/lowest performing content with context
Identify opportunities to mobilize influencers and brand advocates who align with brand goals
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or a GED
2 years prior social media development experience
Ability to work various shifts, which includes weekends and holidays
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business Management, or equivalent education and experience
One (1) year of social media marketing, advertising, or equivalent experience
Proficient in digital and social media across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
Experience managing and working with social media tools and platforms, including popular SaaS systems such as Sprinklr, Hootsuite, TrackMaven, etc.
Strong copywriting skills
Able to articulate current trends and remain up to date on the use of social media platforms
Able to use photo editing software such as Canva and Adobe Express, as well as basic video-editing capabilities
