Position Summary: The Group Facilitator will provide education, assistance and coordination to clients participating in the 2Gen Prevention Services Program.

Location: Pittsburg, KS

Education: High School diploma required

Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.

Preferred Skills: A Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Social Work, Counseling, Human Development, Child and Family Development, Applied Family and Youth Services, Public Health, Health Sciences, Sociology, Substance Abuse, Early Childhood, Education, Psychology or two years of previous experience working with children and family services or related field Licensure by the KS BSRB. Previous experience in children and family services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build family education and implementation that supports and enhances safety, security, and stable, healthy relationships that are family centered, connected to the community; and rely on practices necessary to support grant services in Kansas.
• Facilitate training to families in group settings within the community.
• Develop, research, and acquire curriculum for requested and/or required training needs as necessary.
• Represent the agency at external meetings as assigned.
• Marketing within communities served by 2Gen Prevention Services
• Serve as a consultant for case management staff as needed regarding collaboration of training to clients.
• Regular travel is required within a 2-3 hour radius as group facilitation will occur across several counties.
