Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities and programs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of activities and programs for residents
- Engage residents in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities to promote physical and mental well-being
- Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Collaborate with the activity director and interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for residents
- Coordinate and facilitate group activities, including games, crafts, music therapy, and exercise classes
- Assist with event planning and coordination of special events or outings
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and progress
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents, promoting social interaction and community engagement
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in senior care or related field preferred
- Knowledge of aging issues, counseling techniques, and social work principles
- Familiarity with memory care programs and techniques is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with seniors
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
