Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in our assisted living community.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of activities and programs for residents
- Conduct group activities such as games, crafts, exercise classes, and outings
- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to residents who require additional help
- Help residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
- Collaborate with the activity director to develop new programs and improve existing ones
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all residents during activities

Experience:
- Previous experience in event planning or recreational therapy is preferred
- Familiarity with assisted living or memory care settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with seniors
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques for individuals with dementia or memory impairments
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage schedules effectively

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 28 per week
