Adhesive and Sealant Plant Operator

Job Description, Role & Responsibilities:

-Work in a small production team setting, preparing and loading raw material (all non-toxic) for mixing; and packaging; preparing pallets for shipment and receiving raw materials on pallets.  Rapid advancement opportunity with demonstrated performance, reliability and supervisory skills.

 -Adhere to all safety/housekeeping requirements within a manufacturing setting.

 -Learn troubleshooting and making the necessary adjustments to ensure product and quality specifications are met.

-Recording of production data and other results in the manner required.

-Apply basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.

-Encouraged to take an active role in improving the operation and contribute to improving safety.

-No rotating shifts.  Training on First shift-7:30 - 4:00.

 -Adaptable to scheduling requirements including staggered shift; occasional overtime where needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

-Able to lift and stack 45 lb. boxes; experience and ability to work in a small manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all plant safety and housekeeping rules.

- Ability to operate a fork-lift or obtain certified training.

-Ability or willingness to learn how to troubleshoot plant equipment.

- Ability to interpret verbal and written work instructions.

- Computer skills not essential; opportunity to enter QC system record keeping, shipment documents and production data.

- Proficiency at taking measurements as needed to verify product is within specifications.

- Possess basic maintenance skills, including skill with common hand tools.

· Effective teamwork and communication skills.

· Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience.
