District Office

Full-time, Permanent

Summary of Position
This individual assist with Central Registration at the District Office. They will be responsible for supporting families as they take part in the central registration process.

REPORTS TO:
Director of Teaching and Learning

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  • Two years of experience related to registration policy and state code
  • Two years of eSchool experience
  • Experience in using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
  • Bilingual skills are an asset to this position but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • High School Diploma, Associate's Degree preferred
  • Assist with central registration at the District level.
  • Works closely with the District Technology Technician to provide support during registration cycles.
  • Ensures documents are accurate and maintained in accordance with district policies and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Must be able to flex hours for appointments

  • Files materials accurately and in a timely manner.

Office Management Skills:

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of office management including office practices, procedures and equipment.
  • Demonstrates considerable knowledge of computer programs, and online information and data management systems.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize demands effectively.
  • Able to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Seeks advice and guidance from school supervisors when appropriate.
  • Seeks advice and guidance from District Office administrative staff when appropriate.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information in accordance with FERPA regulations.

Competencies: Success in this position requires the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge:

  • Clerical — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Knowledge of Attendance & Enrollment Procedures & School Choice.
  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. (Spanish skills are also helpful)
  • Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of computer software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including applications such as E-School, Data Service Center (DSC), Identity Management System (IMS), PeachJar, School Dude, Schoology and new software as needed.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Administration and Management — Knowledge of coordination of people and resources.
  • Financial – Reconciles school budget and completes department purchasing processes.

Skills:

  • Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively.

Pay: $24,882.00 - $57,296.00 per year
