Job Summary and Qualifications

Admin Assistant Job Summary 

As an Administrative Assistant, you will assist the hospital leadership with day-to-day duties and responsibilities as assigned. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for dedicated professional like you to be a part of our healthcare team.   

Here is some of what you can expect from being an Admin Assistant with us: 

  • You will receive and verify patient information on all paperwork and specimen containers for accuracy 
  • You will maintain a competent level of performance and provide quality service for the secretarial and clerical duties of the department.  
  • You will provide customer service and interact with physicians, hospital directors, hospital staff, as well as patients and families as indicated.  
  • You will provide clerical support for the hospital leaders.  
  • You will oversee office supply inventory.  
  • You will assist in the completion of departmental assignments.  

What qualifications you will need:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • One (1) year medical office or hospital laboratory administrative assistance experience. Supervisory/management skills preferred. 
  • Knowledge of office procedures and medical terminology. 
  • Computer experience and word processing preferred. 
  • Effective communication and human relation skills. 
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
