COMPENSATION: $56,000 - $64,000 per year

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Assist with the tracking of professional staff licensure and communication with staff
  • Assist with the administrative preparation of salary changes.
  • Assists the Director with scheduling, communication, website currency and purchase orders.
  • Preparation of employee letters including new hires, position changes, FMLA and other leaves, supplemental positions including stipends, athletics and summer employment.
  • Prepares new employee hiring materials and personnel action forms, communication with new employees and sending onboarding materials.
  • Prepares annual reappointment/assignment letters and annual letters of reasonable assurance.
  • Assists with database management of financial/human resource system and prepares reports, mines data, creates excel spreadsheets and mail merges.
  • Assists with other human resource technology systems including online application, onboarding, substitute placement, time management, FMLA, substitute training, ethics training, unemployment, Worker’s Compensation, etc.
  • Submits CORI applications and prepares letters of suitability.
  • Assists with monitoring and related documentation for employees on leave.
  • Posts and monitors all open positions.
  • Maintains confidential professional personnel files.
  • Gathers information and prepares complex reports for administration and government agencies.
  • May assist with preparation of school budget; maintaining and monitoring budget, purchase requests and major accounts.
  • Works collaboratively with union leadership to address issues, resolve problems and providing requests for information.
  • Assists the Director in planning for union negotiations including compensation data collected from surrounding school districts.
  • Performs all other reasonably related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • The ability to successfully interact with and manage a high volume of employees with a focus on excellent customer service.
  • An interest in and aptitude for using a wide variety of technology including software, web-based applications, databases, Excel and the ability to learn quickly and seek efficient technology solutions to enhance the efficiency of the work and employee experiences.
  • The ability to efficiently manage a fast-paced workload.
  • The desire to assist building Principals and district administrators in making their jobs easier by assisting with human resource related solutions.
  • Associate's degree from college; or
  • Two years related experience and/or training; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Superior organizational skills to perform a wide variety of administrative functions.
  • Highly developed people skills.
  • Strong financial skills and ability to understand accounting and budgeting.
