ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:
Job description
This is a unique opportunity to join a fascinating profession in need of an Administrative Assistant. This position interacts with a variety of professional entities in the medical, county, and public health services departments. Training will be conducted onsite.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Excellent communication skills by phone, fax, and email, as well as interpersonal interaction with fellow employees, and outside businesses.
- Must be well organized with great attention to detail.
- Must work well under the pressure of deadlines.
- Must be able to multi-task and manage time and progress, to reach time sensitive goals.
- Strong typing and computer abilities are necessary, as the majority of the work involves entering sensitive legal information into a computer.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software including Word and Excel is necessary.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus, but not required.
- The Administrative Assistant must possess a warm professionalism, while also having the ability to be assertive when needed.
