The Department of Charitable Gaming (DCG) provides a regulatory framework allowing charitable gaming to thrive as a viable fundraising mechanism. The department helps to ensure the productivity of charitable gaming through appropriate regulation, oversight and education.
We are looking for an Administrative Specialist III to join our team of highly skilled professionals. As an Administrative Specialist III you will provide professional support to the Department of Charitable Gaming/Division of Licensing in developing, implementing and maintaining various complex programs, projects or activities; perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reviews applications for licensure from organizations, facilities, distributors and manufacturers; provides written correspondence of deficiencies; process change requests and applications for raffles and special charitable gaming events; issues gaming license when requirements have been met.
- Independently provides written correspondence to applicants for licensure explaining aspects of KRS Chapter 238 and Administrative Regulations, 820 KAR; provides recommendations of denial to department management for additional review.
- Recommends policy and/or procedure changes as necessary to improve the licensing process.
- Provides professional support to internal and external customers and adheres to all Personnel Cabinet policies.
- Assists in training of employees and licensees as requested. Provides assistance to staff members when requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
