The Admission Resource Nurse will provide professional nursing care to clients as they are admitted to KVC Hospitals through careful assessment and documentation. The Admission Resource Nurse will work closely with the other hospital departments to ensure safe, high quality patient care is achieved. Nurse will strive to ensure policies, procedures, practices and standards of the facility are implemented and maintained. Nursing services include taking medication orders and supervising the dispensing of medications; charting and medical record keeping; assessing medical health concerns, including infection control and assuring that needs are met in a timely manner; working with the staff nutritionist to meet patient dietary needs; communicating with case managers or adults in charge of the patients physical health; assisting with injuries and accidents; and consultation with direct care staff

Salary: Pay for this position starts at $32.50 and increases based on a combination of education and experience.

Schedule: 40-hour work week. Some flexibility regarding scheduled days and lengths of shifts.

Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program, certification as a Registered Nurse.

Licensure/Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas. Valid driver's license and insurance required.

Experience: Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and

experience.
