Hours: 2:45 PM – 6:00 PM (Regular Days) | 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Half Days)

Do you enjoy working with children and helping them grow academically and socially in a fun, supportive environment? We are looking for enthusiastic Afterschool Counselors to join our team at Schools 16, 24, 13, and 10 in Paterson, NJ. As an Afterschool Counselor, you will play a key role in shaping the afterschool experience for students from Pre-K through 6th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage students in a variety of activities including arts, sports, and recreation.
• Provide homework assistance and academic support.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during afterschool hours.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment where children can learn and grow.
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff to address student needs and progress.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage and engage groups of children in a fun and educational manner.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in education or child development is a plus.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with kids.
