What you'll do


  • Assist AA International team members with verification of travel privileges.
  • Dependent verification SME for Envoy, Envoy International team, PSA, Piedmont, and non-wholly owned.
  • Conduct in-house audits for the active and retiree population.
  • Review and approve escalation cases from Team Member Service Center, the team member, and Alight. Continuously monitor cases until resolved.
  • Work with the IT team daily to ensure that the travel profiles are set up correctly to allow dependents to travel as soon as they are verified.
  • Assist the Travel Allegations team, Corporate Security team, and Team Member Relations with the review of documents and often last-minute requests before an interview

Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • High school/GED equivalent
  • Two years of airline experience; three years of project management or office administrative experience with a strong emphasis on customer service



Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • At least 2 years office experience in an administrative support role with strong emphasis on customer service
  • Intermediate to advanced Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills
  • Knowledge of native Sabre and airline procedures strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of travel policies and procedures

  • Ability to interpret and apply defined standards and internal policies related to our travel programs
  • Ability to successfully operate within a fast-paced group environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to analyze situations, make recommendations and implement strategies under pressure
  • Comfortable working with all job levels up to and including senior officers of AA
  • In depth knowledge of native Sabre preferred, with a focus on reservations and inventory controls
  • Working knowledge of travel policies and procedures
  • Accuracy in interpreting and applying policies related to team member travel privileges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels in the organization and with external customers and business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully operate within a fast-paced group environment to include incoming calls, e-mail and team meetings
  • Ability to master unique departmental software including proficiency with SHARP, Siebel, ePNR, Dependent Verification platforms, various research tools and other applications specific to the travel team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to work with highly confidential material
  • Excellent customer service skills
