The Role

The Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the Fidelity Corporate Development Group team, supporting the Fidelity Corporate Development Group team in the valuation and due diligence process of potential acquisitions, strategic investments, divestitures and partnerships as well as assisting the Fidelity Corporate Development Group team with strategic evaluations of core and non-core businesses. Given the small size of the Corporate Development Group, this role offers young professionals the opportunity for an unusual amount of responsibility and the opportunity to interact with senior people across Fidelity.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent research skills – the ability to gather and synthesize materials on companies, products, industries and effectively communicate findings
  • Advanced analytical, financial modeling and valuation skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Results-oriented, versatile and self-motivated
  • Ability to work well independently and on a team

The Team

  • Fidelity Corporate Development Group is a multidisciplinary team that works with all of Fidelity’s Business Units and levels of the organization to evaluate strategic opportunities which help the businesses grow their existing businesses or enter into new, tangential businesses. These opportunities include potential acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances, as well as business unit evaluations and reviews.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
