Adaptive Appliances is the largest retailer of refurbished appliances in Northern Michigan. We are building out our technician department. You will start by disassembling appliances and testing units. You will then learn how to work on electric dryers and electric stoves. After that you will learn how to work on washers and gas units. Once you have those mastered you will get a pay bump and learn how to work on refrigerators and dishwashers.

Once you get experienced enough you will have your own service vehicle that you may take home with you.

You will be joining a team of 7 men and 5 women.

We are looking for someone with a mechanical mindset, good communication skills, customer service skills, ability to utilize a tablet and payment/scheduling apps.

You must be a team player, reliable, and productive.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License with good record
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis. The ability to lay on the floor to repair French door refrigerators and stand back up without assistance. The ability to use a dolly to move appliances.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

NO MORE EARLY STARTS! 9AM START TIME! You will be working 9-5 with paid lunch break, Tuesday thru Saturday. Guaranteed 40 hours a week even in winter months!

Job Type: Full-time or Part time with intent for full-Time

Salary: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour plus company vehicle.

After 1 year, 52 hours of PTO can be earned annually
