Position Purpose

Assist in providing cultural resource management services for KLJ projects in a timely, accurate, and cost effective manner.

Essential Functions

• Compliant with KLJ quality standards
• Complete field-work under supervision of the project manager or supervisor
• Assist with lab analysis of artifacts
• Assist with record searches
• Assist with creating and coordinating reports, documents and other data
• Utilize effective written and oral communication

Responsibilities

• May begin to assist with Federal and State Agency coordination
• Assist with pedestrian inventory, site testing and reports
• Provide project correspondence, records and field notes
• Completion of site forms
• Participate in meetings

Qualifications

• Either have a four year degree or be working towards a four year degree in anthropology, archaeology, history or a related field
• Must have completed an archaeological Field School
• Must have a valid drivers license and be able to operate motorized vehicles

Preferences:

• GIS background is desired

Hours and Travel

This position requires the individual work 40 or more hours per week with 95% of the time spent in the field and 5% of the time is spent in the office.

The role has a salary range of $23.00 - $30.00 per hour.
