Overview:

We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as Security Guards. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This is an opportunity to contribute to the protection of people and property while gaining valuable experience in the security industry.

Duties:

- Sit at desk.

- limited client interaction.

- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate action as necessary

- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including incident reports and shift logs

- Enforce access control procedures, verifying credentials and authorizing entry as required

- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and providing directions

- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services when needed

- Perform loss prevention duties by monitoring inventory, preventing theft, and investigating any potential security breaches

Requirements:

- Proven experience in conflict management and the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally

- Military or law enforcement background is highly desirable

- Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR certificate is preferred

- Strong surveillance skills with the ability to identify potential security risks or threats

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- High level of integrity and ethical conduct

This job requires a federal background check to be administered at the FEMA headquarters in West Des Moines. Applicant must be willing to travel to do this. Travel time for this trip will be added to your first check.

Qualifications

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 56 per week
