Position: Armed Security Officer

Compensation: $21.00/hour

Schedule: Tuesday 1:30pm-9pm, Wednesday & Thursday 7:30am-7pm, Friday 7:30am-5pm

**MUST HAVE A VALID NEBRASKA CHP or CCW, AND A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS OF MILITARY OR LAW ENFORCEMENT EXPERIENCE TO QUALIFY**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team. As a vital part of our security force, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, visitors, and assets. This role requires a strong background in security and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol the facility, including all parking lots, corridors, and areas, ensuring the safety and security of everyone within the premises.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to any suspicious activity.
• Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence in the event of a security breach.
• Maintain a high level of situational awareness and be prepared to handle any unexpected situations.
• Use effective conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations and maintain a peaceful environment.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and other security agencies to ensure the facility is secure and compliant with all relevant regulations.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to all security protocols and procedures.
• Stay vigilant and alert to any potential threats or security breaches, taking immediate action to address them.
• Assist in medical emergencies, fire, smoke,. or explosion procedures, hazardous chemicals/materials, severe weather, suspicious packages, and active shooter protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must have two years of military or law enforcement experience with weapons training
• Must have a validConcealed Handgun Permit, or Carrying a Concealed Weapon Permit
• Must own and provide a handgun approved by Signal
• Must be able to maintain site-specific security orders
• Must be able to pass a background check & drug test
• Must have a working and functional smartphone with data to conduct reports and clock-in
• Must own personal transportation or have reliable transportation to get to work
• High school diploma or GED is required

Experience:

• Military: 2 years (Preferred)
• Law enforcement: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CHP or CCW (Required)
