Two (2) full time AmeriCorps members will identify and recruit volunteers and donations, to offer their services At the same time, they will motivate them to continue their services in other programs of the agency. Identify and visit agencies, companies, businesses, and sponsors that can donate items, products, food, materials or equipment to offer the necessary direct services to the population. Promote the value of volunteerism in the communities by identifying skills in residents, motivating them, accompanying them and strengthening volunteer service in the agency and community; paying greater attention to assigning volunteers to programs with AmeriCorps members. Identify youth volunteers to complete community service hours in the various programs, visiting community schools or vocational schools to strengthen knowledge in volunteerism.
Member Duties : Collect or seek donations and complete records of receipts, taking incoming and outgoing inventories and distributions, sorting by food, products, equipment, materials received or delivered. Keep records of emergency shopping services to individuals, referred through businesses, companies, churches or community, emphasizing and giving priority to those referrals that arrive with whom we have collaborative agreements. Data will be recorded in a computerized system. Volunteer interest questionnaires will be administered to ascertain your desires or priorities for volunteer services.
