Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bakery Manager to oversee our bakery operations. The Bakery Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the bakery, ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods, and maintaining efficient processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, quality control, and process improvement.
Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of bakery operations, including production, inventory management, and quality control.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste in bakery operations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Manage a team of bakery staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain adequate stock.
- Implement and maintain systems for tracking production metrics and analyzing performance data.
- Continuously evaluate processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in bakery operations.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Excellent understanding of quality control procedures in a bakery setting.
- Ability to assemble and lead a team of bakery staff.
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with bakery systems and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
