POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Coordination with Clinical Director to support and enhance clinical programming and case management services. May assist with caseload assignments, including psychosocial assessments, collaboration with families, legal guardians, providers, and multidisciplinary team.
  • Participation in performance improvement committee to comply with Joint Commission and CMS regulations to enhance patient quality of care.
  • Assisting the Director of Clinical Services in providing staff supervision, training, clinical case consultation, coordination and organization of day-to-day activities that will enhance effectiveness of the Social Services Department.
  • Accountable for the hiring, training and supervision of a diverse team, including interns.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training:

Master’s Degree in Human Service field (e.g. Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc.).

Experience:

4 years experience in the mental health field, hospital experience preferred;

3 years management and/or leadership preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Licensed in NC: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCAS (Provisionally licensed will be considered).
  • CPI Certification (Or within 30 days of hire)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Assists Director of Clinical Services with carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, regulatory agencies, and applicable laws.
  • Oversee staff adherence to policies and maintenance of appropriate medical record documentation.
  • Offers creative solutions to complex situations.
  • Knowledge of appropriate assessments, diagnoses, and interventions with patients.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with patients, patient’s family members, staff and community personnel.
  • Support the Director of Clinical Services in the management of campus-wide staffing with a focus on improving staff productivity and morale.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and high ethical standards
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team approach model, taking individual responsibility and autonomy while also working well in roles leading and serving as part of a diverse team.
  • Assessment skills for evaluating mental illness and substance abuse in child, adolescent, and adult populations.
  • Facilitation skills for leading process and psycho education therapy groups.
  • Highly Organized and Efficient in Daily Tasks; Flexible.
  • Professional in all aspects in addressing needs of patients to employees of the hospital, payers, families, professionals, paraprofessionals, and members of the patient's community.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills; provides administrative support and consultation to support and broaden staff skill levels.
  • Consults with direct service staff to provide clinical coaching to help staff grow as professionals.
  • Provide weekly clinical supervision for staff working to obtain LCSW or LCPC when needed.
  • Serves as Administrator-On-Call (AOC) on rotating basis for crisis intervention and consultation.
