GENERAL PURPOSE Directly supervises group leaders, team leaders and team members. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include managing receiving and yard management operations, training and coaching of employees. Planning and assigning work. Appraise performance, manage employee relations by addressing and resolving problems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Monitors quality and productivity of warehouse transportation operations • Ensures all departmental policies and procedures are followed • Develops continues improvement for programs by the using the Kaizen principles • Ensures team compliance with company and client • Ensures all government policies and regulations are followed • Continues to enhance knowledge of job related operations • Must be able to work and communicate effectively with vendors and other departments • Must monitor equipment and initiate proper maintenance as needed • Develops tools to facilitate operations as necessary • Establishes and modifies procedures and work flows • Manages manpower, attendance and absenteeism • Implements programs to comply with internal control and Toyota’s Production System • Ensures compliance with OSHA and all guidelines and regulations • Daily reporting to management and TMMTX (Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Texas) • Rotates between day and night shifts • Performs other duties as assigned
