Job Requirements
  • Assist the store manager and support the store team members in all day-to-day store operations.
  • Lead by example as a champion of people delivering consistent results in sales, service, and profitability through operational excellence.
  • Execute profitable operations of the store by coaching team members to drive sales through the delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Ensure weekly price changes, monthly cycle counts, and loss reports are being completed.
  • Utilize location and financial historical data to identify operational opportunities and trends in the market, and execute effective processes.
  • Interview, hire, verify documentation, onboard, resolve team member issues, deliver corrective action, and terminate team members in collaboration with the Regional HR Support Team and HR Support Center.
  • Train and develop team members to be successful in their role to retain, grow, and build a robust talent bench for our next generation of store leaders.
  • Play an active role in all aspects of the business, including sales, profit drivers, operational excellence, and team member relations.
  • Operate a forklift with proper training.

Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
  • 1+ years of merchandising and operational experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of leadership experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • 2+ years of retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible, minimum 40-hour weekly schedule.
  • Ability to interpret sales reporting documents.
  • Experience leveraging sales and profit opportunities through shrink management and safety performance.
  • Knowledge of Benjamin Moore Paint and paint color matching preferred.
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills with a positive and professional personality.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
