Chip Cookies is the original gourmet cookie delivery company and was recently named by QSR magazine as one of the hottest fast casual concepts in the country. Our focus is #deliveringhappiness in the form of warm, delicious cookies made with premium ingredients for take-out or delivery right to customers’ doorsteps. Our beautiful stores offer a premium experience for our guests who can choose to customize any of our delicious cookies with our cookie bar.

We're excited to announce the opening of our Westminster location, our second store in Colorado, and we're on the lookout for a can-do, passionate and experienced leader who can manage and close the store a couple nights a week.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering happiness for our guests and helping foster a positive work environment for our team members by assisting in the day-to-day operations of our store. With your customer focus and additional to detail, you will also be responsible for managing the store opening or closing procedures. This position will report to the Retail Store Manager.

Salary: $18-20/hour + tips (while tips are customer optional there is a potential to earn $23-27/hour with average tip amounts)

Job Type: Part-time

Required availability: Primarily weeknights and Weekends (approximately 5-10:15pm). Expected to work 10-15 a week.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills

• 2 years of experience in a retail restaurant environment
• Demonstrated food safety knowledge
• Track record of delivering excellent customer service
• Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate initiative
• Reliability and integrity
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knack for staying calm under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Extremely detail oriented
• Results driven
• Fun loving with ability to inspire, motivate and work as part of a team
• Love of baking (huge plus!) and #deliveringhappiness (required)
• Have access to reliable transportation
• Google Docs computer proficiency. Toast POS experience is a plus.
• High school diploma
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs

Responsibilities include:

• Shift leadership, including leading store closing procedures
• Act as Manager-on-Duty in absence of the store manager
• Greeting guests, fulfilling orders, baking and serving cookies, making dough and frostings, and accepting payment
• Assist with employee onboarding, training and coaching
• Ensure product quality, customer experience and satisfaction maintained to the Chip standard
• Commitment to achieving store sales goals
• Store cleanliness and equipment maintenance oversight
• Retail and catering order fulfillment
• Holding team accountable to Chip guidelines and food safety standards
• Management of conflict in a professional, appropriate, and timely manner
• Assisting the Retail Store Manager with other responsibilities as needed.
