Adaptive Enterprises, LLC is seeking full-time trainers to work remotely (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc) but primarily in-person with individuals with disabilities as they learn how to use low and high tech software and devices to overcome limitations in the workplace and at school. The ideal candidate will enjoy helping people and be able to train and teach a variety of individuals of various abilities. If you like motivating people, teaching, and technology, you will find this work very rewarding.

Position Detail:

While we do work with individuals using remoted methods, our in-person trainers are located throughout Indiana. For in-person, the Trainer would meet individuals on a one-on-one basis in the community (e.g. libraries, universities, and workplace) or sometimes as vetted and required in the home to provide training on using technology to meet disability-related needs to obtain or maintain employment. The position likely requires compensated day travel to meet clients. The Trainer would work with individuals from a wide range of employment and educational backgrounds (individuals with high school certificates, college students, and individuals with PhD degrees, retail workers, farmers, corporate executives, and government officials). It would be your job to help individuals with disabilities learn to use technology to prepare them for employment, succeed in college, return to work, or improve upon their workplace skills to stay employed. The Trainer provides services that have a substantial impact in the quality of life for the individuals served.

Trainer may set their own schedule with the individual with whom the trainer is working, provided the schedule mutually works for the individual and meets minimal expectations of Adaptive Enterprises LLC.

Job Requirements

· Basic troubleshooting skills on PC, iPhone/iPad, and Android devices

· Moderate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

· Excellent verbal and written communication

· Interest in working with individuals with a wide range of disabilities (cognitive, learning, sensory, mobility, etc.)

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Social Services, Education, or Information Technology'
