Title: Associate Director of Institutional Advancement - Donor Management
Reports to: Director of Institutional Advancement
Location: North Kingstown, RI

The Haitian Project through its support of Louverture Cleary Schools, a national network of tuition-free, Catholic, coeducational secondary boarding schools in Haiti, provides for the education of academically talented and motivated students from Haitian families who cannot afford the cost of their children’s education in order to maximize their potential and enable them to work toward building a Haiti where justice and peace thrive.

The Associate Director of Institutional Advancement – Donor Management reports directly to the Project’s Director of Institutional Advancement and plays a critical role supporting the Office of Institutional Advancement’s efforts to ensure that the Project has the support necessary to achieve its mission. Specifically, the Associate Director is responsible for managing and improving the data systems that are essential to the overall success of the Office of Institutional Advancement, as well as supporting and participating in the work of the office overall. The Associate Director also supports the Vice President of Communications in the management and development of funding relationships with major organizations and foundations

Responsibilities:

1) Manage and improve data systems related to the Office of Institutional Development

a. Maintain records for the office in Salesforce and other programs in accordance with established Project policies
b. Extract, analyze and report data from Salesforce and other sources to monitor and support fundraising efforts for the advancement office
c. Identify and implement opportunities to improve current systems in coordination with other team members
d. Regularly pursue opportunities for continuing education related to Salesforce and data management and analytics in general

2) Support the Vice President of Communications in developing and managing funding relationships with major organizations and foundations

a. Research and report on new grant opportunities utilizing foundation databases and other sources
b. Prepare and manage grant applications and help maintain the Project’s Grant Response Library
c. Manage the Project’s grant opportunity pipeline

3) Provide general support for Advancement initiatives

a. Participate in direct fundraising and outreach to community members through cards, emails, calls, events and quarterly campaigns as directed by the Director of Institutional Advancement
b. Develop presentations and promotional materials as needed for the Office and major organization and foundation activity, in coordination with other departments where appropriate
c. Produce and send mailings

4) Work collaboratively with other team members as needed to achieve goals

Requirements:

1) This position is full-time on site, with the possibility of working one day per week from an appropriate, consistent home office.
2) Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Accounting, Economics, Business, Political Science or related
3) Strong data analytics/database skills; substantial experience with Salesforce or similar CRM programs strongly preferred
4) Ability to travel, domestically and internationally
5) Commitment to the Project’s mission and Charism
6) Knowledge of the Catholic Church and Catholic Social Teaching
7) Initiative; ability to schedule and monitor tasks
8) Excellent organizational, communication and follow-through
9) Problem-analysis and problem-solving skills
10) Strong writing skills
11) Strong interpersonal skills
12) Ability to research, monitor information, report
13) Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (namely Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
