Elementary and/or Middle School Athletic Coordinator
Job Description
Reports to: School Principal, District Athletics Department
Compensation: Seasonal Stipend
This position manages and oversees the school’s athletic programs. The athletic coordinator should be familiar with the school community and have a strong interest in having their school’s student participate in extracurricular activities. This position is critical to the success of IPS’s athletic programs as they will help students figure out which sports they are interested in participating in as they progress into middle school, high school, and potentially further.
Persons in this position should be prepared and expected to complete the following tasks:
o Ensure school’s families are aware of opportunities the school will offer.
o Ensure coached go through application process and are cleared through HR.

The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and /or move athletic equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to demonstrate the proper techniques and skills needed for athletic participation.
