POSITION SUMMARY:

Looking for a certified Medical Assistant Manager to join an incredible team at the largest most comprehensive integrative medical clinic in the country serving patients from all over the country and the world. This MA position is responsible for maintaining 24 hour accountability in planning, managing, controlling and organizing comprehensive, safe, efficient, and high quality patient care. The Nurse Manager is responsible for coordinating the daily operations and clinical practice of the assigned service areas. Establishes and maintains standards of care and unit policies and procedures. Consistently demonstrate behaviors that reflect the Center for New Medicine & Cancer Center for Healing core values and mission statement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates and trains the scheduling of MA/Scribe personnel according to patient census and acuity
  • Maintains and monitors staffing records and statistics
  • Supervises and leads his/her assigned personnel in day to day operation of the clinic
  • Conducts hiring, disciplinary action, scheduling, orientation, performance appraisals, educational need and conflict resolution
  • Monitoring of personnel certifications as required
  • Assist the Controller in developing services pricing and annual department budget objectives
  • Ensures the staff complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates care, treatment and services amongst programs, services and departments
  • He/She may handle human blood and other potentially infectious and/or hazardous materials, which may result in possible exposure to blood borne pathogen and/or harmful elements
  • Manage medical records (maintain, file/scan patient charts/correspondence)
  • Ensures MA’s are trained on all proper procedures, room prep, stocking patient rooms, and maintaining patient/practitioner flow procedures.
  • Using computer applications, including EMR software eClinical
  • Arrange for bloodwork and labs including RGCC testing and SOT
  • Ensure new patients have been educated on protocols or services and costs
  • Coordinate correspondence, including patient records and billing
  • Order department supplies and mixing supplies
  • Call patients on the waiting list to fill vacant appointment slots
  • Handle new and existing patient inquiries
  • Provide support to Physicians
  • Interactions: Interacts frequently with patients, clinic personnel and outside referral sources personnel by telephone, correspondence and personal contact

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
