Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Baker to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced food production environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating delicious baked goods and providing exceptional customer service. This role is responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory treats for our restaurant and customers.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a range of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, bread, and cookies.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and handling regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment, such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters, to produce high-quality products.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including measuring, mixing, and kneading.
- Decorate cakes and other baked goods with precision and attention to detail.
- Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions about products and making recommendations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective food production.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, contributing to a friendly and welcoming environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a bakery or restaurant setting.
- Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with food handling and preparation is a plus.
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques is an asset.
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.93 - $19.86 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
