Position Summary:
Responsible for greeting, serving and maintaining a clean environment for all guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting the Banquet Event Order sheets for each event scheduled for.
- Set up of banquet rooms and tables (including all silverware, beverages, centerpieces, linen, appropriate condiments and any special items provided by the guest)
- Utilizing check list of duties to complete assigned tasks.
- Attending line up at the beginning of each event to detail all of the event happenings, timelines, special instructions and assignment of duties.
- Ensuring that proper food and beverage are presented to guests in a timely fashion according to guest provided timeline.
- Cleanup and closing procedures at the close of each event.
- Maintaining a clean and positive environment
- Responsible for reviewing work schedule and notifying Banquet Managers of any conflicts at least 48 hours prior to the event.
- Performs any other duties assigned or requested by Superiors.
Qualifications:
- Work experience should include a minimum of 2 years in a banquet or serving environment as well as customer service experience.
- Must be able to handle multiple functions at the same time and maintain good organizational skills.
- Must be a proficient communicator and listener.
- Works effectively and positively with co-workers, supervisors, guests and visitors
- Works well within a team
- Takes initiative and has excellent relationship-building skills.
- Well organized, dependable and pleasant
