Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Banquet Server to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon on the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to read and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Performs all guest contact activities such as serving food and beverage, responding to guest’s inquiries in cordial, efficient and professional manner
  • Ensures food and beverage is served while maintaining a consistent presentation and proper temperature
  • Delivers food and beverage items to guests
  • Offers product knowledge of food and beverage to guests
  • Provides general hotel information for guests
  • Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Hotel Polaris
  • Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all amenities as well as any special events
  • Interacts with hotel staff in a professional manner
  • Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
  • Communicates all pertinent information to the banquets team
  • Maintains constant awareness of safety issues. Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.
  • Follows Banquet Event Orders with strong attention to detail
  • Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
  • Ensures proper handling, cleaning and sanitation of equipment, china, glass and silver.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff when food ordering expressing any special needs.
Qualifications:
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, push, pull frequently.
