Job Title: Banquet Server and Set Up

Department: Banquets

Reports To: Banquet Manager

Summary: : A Banquet Server & Set Up employee, you will assist with the coordination and service delivery of food and beverages to provide a memorable experience to our guests.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Maintain standards of quality, service and cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas and storage areas.
• Set up banquet areas, tables and serving stations according to the BEO and Standards.
• Prepare tables for meals, including the complete set up of linens, silverware and glassware.
• Greet guests in a professional manner and provide education about the food and beverage menus.
• Prepare and serve non-alcoholic drinks
• Serve meals/courses from the kitchen and/or replenish buffet items
• Attend to guest needs throughout the event and communicate any special needs
• Clear, clean, and reset tables and banquet room at the conclusion of each event
• Clean, restock, and polish silverware, glasses, flatware, work area, and other equipment
• Replenish supplies and vacuum
• Empty wastebaskets and remove trash and table linen
• Keep banquet and storage areas in clean and orderly condition
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior Banquet Setup experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret a detailed banquet event order (BEO) including diagrams with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to lift and move multiple tables, chairs, and AV equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
• Knowledge of various types of equipment and set up styles used in meeting rooms, for example, round, boardroom, reception, U-shaped, classroom, etc.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move or push goods on a hand cart/truck with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time with or without accommodations.
