Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Banquet Server to join our hospitality team. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring the smooth operation of banquets, events, and functions within our hotel. Your role will require attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Provide top-notch guest service by being attentive, friendly, and helpful to guests throughout the event.
- Ensure that guests have everything they need, including food, beverages, and utensils.
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure that food is delivered promptly and to the correct location.
- Clean and clear tables, and perform other duties to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the banquet area.
- Handle food and beverage orders, and manage the presentation of dishes.
- Provide guests with information about the hotel's amenities and services.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with guests.
- Work closely with the event coordinator to ensure that the event runs smoothly and according to plan.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the event team.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Banquet Server or in a related hospitality role.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including food handling and presentation.
- Excellent guest relations skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including guest services and hospitality.
- Familiarity with culinary terminology and practices.
- Experience with bussing and clearing tables.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skills:

- Experience with coffee service.
- Excellent guest relations and guest services skills.
- Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food handling practices.
- Experience with banquet service and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Proficiency in customer service and providing a high level of hospitality.
- Ability to perform bussing duties efficiently and safely.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with food and beverage service and presentation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 25 per week
