Job Description

Spectrum Autism Center is seeking fun and energetic individuals to provide evidence-based support therapy to children with autism spectrum and related disorders.

We are looking to fill full and part time positions at our Freeland location.

Responsibilities

  • Structured one-on-one instruction with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) primarily at our clinic but occasionally in their home, school and/or community settings
  • Create a fun and supportive learning environment for children with special needs
  • Implement educational programs and behavior interventions as designed by a Behavior Analyst Supervisor
  • Promote the development of functional communication skills (i.e. speaking and using assistive communication devices)
  • Provide instruction on social skills (i.e. social interactions, play behavior, and conversational skills)
  • Support independence with adaptive living skills (daily routines)
  • Collect clinical data and track progress
  • Participate in team meetings with a BCBA, parents and other team members

Qualifications

  • Strong desire to work with children with special needs, preferably autism
  • Technology proficient in Apple and/or Android devices
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more

  • Must be able to accept constructive performance feedback
  • Experience using positive reinforcement systems, preferred
  • Experience implementing life skills and social skills programs, preferred
  • College Graduate (social work, teaching, or psychology preferred)
  • RBT Certification Preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
