This position will play a crucial role in managing the bid and proposal process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission. As a Bid and Proposal Coordinator, you will collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and bids that showcase our expertise and capabilities.

General:

  • Proficiency in Excel is mandatory.
  • Thorough understanding of bid and proposal process.
  • Performance driven, strong problem solving and analytical skills, and proven ability to meet objectives within deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for learning new software platforms.
  • Experience with SharePoint is helpful.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Collaborate with sales team to develop and execute proposal strategies.
  • Ability to learn the concepts of electrical lighting systems and associated technologies.

Proposals:

  • Lead the end-to-end process of producing high-quality proposals, RFPs, and presentations for potential clients.
  • Use Excel-based estimating tool to build budgets & bills of material and calculate energy & maintenance savings for projects.
  • Collaborate with sales, technical, service teams, and subject matter experts to gather necessary information for proposals.
  • Customize proposals to address the specific needs and requirements of each client.
  • Develop the proposal timeline, calendar, deliverables schedule, and ensure that the proposal “team” is working in harmony toward their common goal.
  • Serve as a resource on any requirements, becoming intimately familiar with any solicitations, Q&A responses, or other compliance documents.
  • Technical writing and initial pricing formation by gathering input from sales, project management, and/or senior/executive leadership.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of bid and proposal documents for reference and future use.
  • Organize and archive bid-related documentation to ensure accessibility and compliance.
  • Full responsibility for doing all the utility rebates.
  • Ad hoc projects as required by the CEO or requested by senior staff.

Product Sourcing:

  • Actively source and evaluate products for inclusion in projects, considering quality, cost-effectiveness, and project requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the sales and project team to ensure sourced products align with project specifications.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant and increasing experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Lighting Certification (LC) designation is ideal.

Language Ability:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 - $41.00 per hour
