Dakota Fluid Power, a Singer Industrial Company, is searching for a Branch Operations Manager to join their team in Sioux Falls, SD.

Singer Industrial is one of America’s largest Industrial Distributors with a North American footprint of approximately 100 locations with over 1,400 employees. Singer Industrial strives to efficiently improve customer productivity with innovative industrial solutions, while providing employee growth and opportunity. We serve a diverse market portfolio including petrochemical, oil/gas, food & beverage, OE equipment, marine, MRO, construction, rental supply, power generation and mining. We do this with a robust line of fluid power, hose & fittings, belts, seals & gaskets, pneumatic and automation products, and services.

Summary of Responsibilities:
This role involves managing operations, coaching staff, fostering customer relationships, and contributing to the company’s commitment to excellence and growth. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader who is dedicated to the overall success of the branch as well as each individual employee.

Job Duties Include:
  • Lead customer service/inside sales, front counter sales, service and warehouse staff.
  • Willingness to be in the weeds; a hands-on leader who will jump in wherever needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch with a deep understanding of sales
  • Ability to learn and use company’s ERP system
  • Responsible for performance evaluations and development of team
  • Ensure showroom is in order and find creative ways to market products
  • Establish and track branch goals
  • Manage appropriate inventory levels
  • Assist with yearly budgets and profit/loss statement
  • Other duties assigned by management

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Must be mechanically inclined and have a basic understanding of hydraulics, fluid power distribution preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter/ detail oriented
  • High-level of computer proficiency including Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
