Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with training experience to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. In this role, you will optimize business processes and ensure compliance with federal regulations by analyzing data and collaborating closely with clients. You'll document and refine system and business requirements, create detailed process documentation, and support testing for enhancements and bug fixes. Additionally, you will assist in migration and conversion efforts, guiding clients through transitions to new processes or software. Your expertise will be crucial in advising Project and Technical Leads and ensuring successful project delivery. This is a remote position that can be performed anywhere in the US.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leverage data analytics to identify and interpret business patterns and trends.
  • Conduct quantitative research on internal and external data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Create detailed process flow documentation to map out business operations and improvements.
  • Elicit, define, refine, and trace both business and technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide comprehensive testing and support to ensure software and business processes meet compliance standards and align with designed architectures.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to educate users on new systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of new software and business processes.

Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a business or technical discipline. 7 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • 5 years of relevant experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • General awareness/understanding of cybersecurity and/or business practices.
  • Experience with data gathering and creating reports to display data using common office automation tools.
  • Knowledge of business process engineering, requirement engineering, and testing practices.
  • Possess the ability to create/analyze requirements accountability records.
  • Ability to verify that software and its documentation is compliant with applicable requirements functionally.
  • The candidate must be able to work in a team environment and be proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Resilience, positivity, integrity, humility, and drive.
  • Ability to maintain and obtain government clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle Process, especially Agile Development (SCRUM and/or KanProgram Analyst).
  • Experience in the analysis of IT business and information environment, activities, and events.
  • Experience developing training for various stakeholders.
