Job Description

ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Buyer - Customer Service Assistant to support our Hawaii/Guam team.

JOB DUTIES:
Procurement specialist, Buyers research, evaluate and purchased materials
Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining supplier records, expediting requests for quote (RFQ) responses and purchase order (PO) shipments.
The buyer will work with staff across departments to oversee the customers requirements and make purchase decisions
Build relationships with suppliers and customers, process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
Buyer should possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices some skills include sourcing and updating records of purchase products.
Review and resolve shipping and payroll discrepancies; assist buyers, program managers and other team members
Perform data entry, run status reports, file and perform other general administrative duties as required

Must have obtained a Bachelors Degree or 4 years of relevant experience
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass a background check
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient Customer Service skills
Experience in purchasing activities, supplier/vendor expediting, RFQs, follow-up with requests, OR resolving shipping discrepancies is a PLUS!
