Café Server

Zak The Baker, James Beard Nominated and Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient, is an Artisan Bakery & Cafe in Wynwood that is now looking to hire new team members.

Candidates should have food service experience and be passionate about food, beverage and hospitality. The successful candidate will join a motivated team of competent individuals committed to offering high quality products to our many and diverse customers. We are looking for a Server that will bring enthusiasm and professionalism to further propel our collective success.

This is a morning/afternoon shift as our cafe hours are 7am - 5pm. The bakery/cafe is closed EVERY Saturday, and ALL evenings.

General Responsibilities:

The Café Server will be assigned stations during their scheduled shift as either server (providing full table service to our customers), host, register, expo and possibly barista. The Café Server is responsible for all aspects of those roles as well as maintaining our standards for hospitality, food safety and cleanliness.

The Café Server is responsible for restocking breads, pastry, packaging, and beverages ingredients, according to the defined protocols, bringing foods to the tables, bus and clean tables, and for cleaning of the café, including its bathroom.

The Café Server works in a high turnover and fast paced work environment when the Café is open, or focuses on pickup orders when the Café area is not open to customers. Both require constant attention to detail, cleanliness, in order to provide the customers the best experience they can.

The Main and Essential Functions of the position require:

• Starting early morning, as early as 6am
• Finishing as late as 7 pm,
• Standing up for long hours, walking, bending, during the full duration of the shift up to 10 hours or more.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to climb on a ladder.
• Availability to work on Fridays and Sundays is mandatory.

compensation: Approx $20 per hour including tips

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
