Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and artistic Cake Decorator to join our culinary team. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and delicious cakes for special occasions. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for baking, decorating, and attention to detail.

Duties:

- Prepare and decorate cakes for special occasions, including birthdays, weddings, and holidays.
- Utilize knife skills to cut and shape cakes to perfection.
- Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create unique and personalized cake designs.
- Package and transport cakes to catering events, restaurants, or other locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of food production and preparation techniques.
- Participate in catering events, taking care of food production and presentation.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of food safety practices to prevent cross-contamination and ensure the quality of all baked goods.

Skills:

- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a bakery or restaurant setting.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food preparation and production techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Experience with cake decorating, including piping, fondant, and other techniques.
- Ability to package and transport cakes safely and efficiently.
- Proficiency in a variety of culinary skills, including baking and decorating.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
