Job Summary:
We are seeking a Day Camp Counselor to lead our young adventurers through exciting experiences while ensuring their safety and enjoyment. What does a Day Camp Counselor do? Among the myriad tasks, the paramount duty is to guarantee the well-being of our young explorers at all times. You'll be tasked with overseeing their escapades, ensuring they remain on course and unharmed. The responsibilities of a Day Camp Counselor encompass orchestrating exhilarating outdoor challenges, enlightening campers, and arranging equipment. Demonstrating dependability and the ability to foster strong bonds with campers are crucial attributes of a Day Camp Counselor. Proficiency in outdoor pursuits such as hiking, kayaking, or sports is desired.
Roles
Devise adventurous expeditions or athletic endeavors for cohorts of campers
Lead recreational and educational pursuits (like canoeing, sports, or craftsmanship)
Accompany and supervise our campers
Instruct campers through playful activities
Maintain equipment
Mediate occasional disputes between campers and address conduct matters
Ensure adherence to safety protocols
Maintain cleanliness at our site
Administer first aid or attend to injuries as required
Maintain precise incident records
Skills
Calm and dependable demeanor
Organizational prowess and effective communication
Dynamic and optimistic disposition
Preference for candidates with first aid and CPR certifications
Completion of high school
Must be at least 18 years old
We offer competitive pay rates for Camp Counselors. This is a seasonal position, June 2-August 16/
