Full-Time County Contractual

Position open to all qualified candidates.

Location: 711 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Job Description

Nature of Work:

Lead the Cannabis Program, focusing on developing curriculum and training materials, expanding community engagement efforts, and conducting a comprehensive Cannabis Needs Assessment. This role will be instrumental in working with community partners to address cannabis prevention and education effectively. Create tailored media campaigns that address local demographics and challenges. Engage with schools, community organizations, and local governments to promote awareness of cannabis-related risks and available resources. Conduct workshops, presentations and seminars to educate the public about cannabis prevention. May involve working in various settings, including schools, community centers and offices.


Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in public health or similar field from an accredited college or university.


Experience:

Two years planning, implementing and evaluating public health programs.


Notes:

Requires travel throughout Anne Arundel County for assigned program activities as needed. Must provide their own transportation, possess a driver’s license valid in Maryland and will receive reimbursement for official travel expenses per Department of Health policies.


Desired or Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with community partners, conducting needs assessments, strategic planning and building capacity for public health programs.
