Overview:

Responsible for providing parent education and support services to kinship caregivers, children, and their biological parents for the purposes of reunification, prevention, and family preservation. Facilitates family support services in accordance with The Bair Foundation's mission and values the provision of a safe, secure and nurturing living experience for children.

Essential Functions:

  • Assessing family safety and reporting any concerns regarding the safety of children to supervisor immediately.
  • Accepting referrals from the referral agency and scheduling families for services.
  • Collaborating with referral source to develop a plan in meeting program requirements and services provided for each client.
  • Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries with clients and families.
  • Scheduling and coordinating visits and transportation of clients and families. Will be responsible for transporting clients (kinship caregivers, children and/or biological families) as needed.
  • Applying advanced knowledge of child welfare techniques to independently assess the quality and appropriateness of services being provided to each family
  • Providing an environment which promotes respect for clients, their privacy, and confidentiality that follows HIPAA regulations.
  • Inputting information into the electronic data bases.

Job Qualfications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field
  • University/college student interns are permitted to apply and perform tasks under the program supervisor's guidance as part of the field practicum/internship experience of academic learning.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
