Description
The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.

The Department of Specialty Courts has an immediate opening for a Case Manager position for Garrad County.

Responsible for case management, monitoring and referral of participants in the areas of substance use disorder and mental health treatment, educational, vocational, and life skills training, community resources and treatment programs, trauma response and crisis intervention.

Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:
  • Maintains a participant caseload.
  • Conducts screener and assessments for eligibility.
  • Enters data into management information system.
  • Attends staffing/court with SPC team and judge to report on participants’ progress.
  • Makes appropriate referrals for participants, connecting participant to recovery resources, treatment and/or ancillary services.
  • May provide crisis intervention referrals.
  • Conducts visits to participant’s homes.
  • May administer drug tests to participants in the field and office.
  • Maintains court records with judicial partners.
  • Some statewide and/or overnight travel required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Associates Degree in related field


EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: 1 year of related experience

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: High school diploma & 3 years job related experience


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Performs duties in an office setting and conducts home visits. Must be able to work with defendants and visit detention centers to perform tasks periodically. Must be able to work with highly stressed individuals, high risk/high needs population.
