Job Description

Litehouse is seeking a strategic Category Manager to join our team. This position is open to remote candidates.


The Category Manager directly supports Litehouse strategic initiative supporting the larger insights team with category management to maximize sales performance within dressings, dip, sauce, and seasoning categories. This position works directly with Innovation, Brand, Marketing, and Sales Litehouse teams.


What you will do

  • Build trusted partnership with cross functional partners by providing research, analysis, and recommendations of category performance, including the use of Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, and other retailer specific proprietary data, syndicated data sources (including IRI, Nielsen, SPINS), and market research panel data.
  • Leading self and team of category analysts in organizing ongoing insights requests (primarily category management) and prioritizing requests based on changing needs of the business and seasonality of retailer/external business partners.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by cross functional teams in support of new and existing categories.
  • Analyzing assigned categories for product (sales, distribution, performance), promotion, placement, pricing, and people (demo/psychographic) details.
  • Lead insights, trends, and strategic key initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (business, math or marketing). Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • 5 years of Marketing/Sales analysis, with a focus in category management, shopper insights, consumer insights or market research.
  • Experience analyzing and presenting syndicated CPG data metrics.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas effectively and efficiently.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time should be expected. Travel may be required with little warning and/or for extended periods of time. Off-site deployment of up to 1 weeks could be expected.
