We have an immediate opening for a Certified Orthotic Fitter to support our Orthotics & Prosthetics location in Flowood.
SHIFT:
- Monday - Friday
- 8am - 5pm
BASIC FUNCTION:
- Assesses and fits patients with off-the-shelf and/or custom-fit devices
- Coordinates fabrication for custom made devices as well as performing or coordinating repairs and maintenance of items as needed
- Collaborates with appropriate clinicians and technicians to maintain proper device turnaround times and patient satisfaction
- Works with clinical staff or clinical manager to develop and maintain a patient care load as appropriate for their level of training and/or certification
- All medical records completed according to ABC, Medicare, and state guidelines
- Charts are documented properly including all patient interactions
- Patient needs and subjective, objective information are accurately documented as well as the plan of care
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. College courses preferred
- At least 1 year of relevant experience including clinical or technical experience in orthotics and/or prosthetics
- Understanding of regulatory guidelines, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance
- Visual ability required, as well as verbal and written communication skill
- Additional training and certification as an orthotic fitter, mastectomy fitter, therapeutic shoe fitter, or other acceptable certification by ABC
