Job Description
We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Claims Resource Center. The position requires the following, but is not limited to:
  • Provide claim assistance to customers in a call center environment.
  • Become familiar with insurance coverage by studying insurance policies, endorsements and forms.
  • Utilize computer-based information for reference to research and resolve inquires of insured, claimants, agents and other departments.
  • Acquire a working knowledge of claim handling procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with policyholders, claimants, agents and other departments through verbal and/or written correspondence.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • High school education or its equivalent
  • Above-average communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to resolve complex issues
  • Organize and interpret data
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Flexibility of working hours (Monday – Friday 4:00 P.M. – 9:30 P.M. and possibility of Saturday and/or Sunday 8:00 A.M. – 6:30 P.M.)
